Childs Hill School Library

Childs Hill School Library is open every lunchtime for the children to dive into the pages of exciting books waiting on the shelves.  As well as the Junior Librarians manning the library every lunchtime, the library is open after school on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays until 4.30pm for your children and YOU to visit and choose something special to read together.

The children will either have had a practical lesson with myself (Teri) or already know the library system. They understand how to find the books they are interested in, how their personal library borrower code works and what to do when they return a book (either bring it back on the day of their class slot or return it into the Book Return box in the library upstairs at any time)

Our children also understand how fundamentally important, exciting and life changing reading can be and therefore are aware of how to respect and care for the books we have so that they can be read and enjoyed for many years at Childs Hill School.

To see what a fantastic collection we have on offer, you and your child can log on to https://childshill.scoutasp.co.uk/library/junior.do

Please continue to support your children’s enthusiasm for reading by hearing them read at home, on the bus, in the garden, in outer space, in the doctors waiting room, in Narnia, in the playground…and so on!

“A children's story that can only be enjoyed by children is not a good children's story in the slightest.”

― C.S. Lewis
